These words, uttered by the thief on the cross, represent what we all want the Lord to do! People remember us for all of the wrong reasons, notice what I initially called him, the thief on the cross. Whenever we do something wrong, others often hold firm to it. But God be thanked, that the Lord will remember us for more than our past! He’s going to remember the good we did!

Jesus told us that the Spirit of God was upon him!! Now, if we don’t really know what this means, we may not think much of it, but this is a powerful statement! He goes on to tell us the things that the spirit is capable of! Once we begin to understand a fraction of just how amazing the spirit is, we would desire the spirit to be on us as well! It brings deliverance!!!!

Firstly, this is not actually about the city of Houston; however, there is actually a problem. One of the hardest things to do in life is to get someone to see a problem within themselves. But that's exactly what God has called a preacher to do. Firstly, to show him the problem he has and then for him to do the same thing for someone else! Houston, we have a problem!

Many times when we talk about understanding another person, it requires us to go through a similar situation. To truly know Jesus, we have to do just that, we have to go through some things he went through. One thing in particular, being buried with him, is in order!! Before you become alarmed, wait a second, we do not have to cover you with dirt! This is a spiritual burying that we call baptism! Let’s search the scriptures to find out more!
